Coloring With Crayons Can Be Fun As An Adult!

 By: Steph MzDimples

The need to feel and look beautiful comes in many forms, whether it’s glowing with an au natural look without makeup and extensions, or with a few enhancements in various areas. Those enhancements could start at the face and assist other body parts. However the enhancements go, makeup has always been a part of the beauty community. Makeup allows individuals to try different lip colors, eye shadows, eye lashes and so much more. There is a company which was started by a 33-year-old African American Louisiana woman, who wanted beginning makeup users to feel comfortable following any tutorial without feeling stressed. Raynell ‘Wuzzam Supa Cent’ Steward founded https://www.thecrayoncase.com/, and it has became a staple in the makeup world.

This is the beginning stages of The Crayon Case. You can see how she was                          definitely on her way to becoming great at her craft.

Her company has even inspired 'bigger brands' so much so that in 2019, Moschino in partnership with Sephora released a product which many were upset with. It was not until Supa Cent revealed her frustration that added more fuel to her consumer's fires and made them want to boycott Sephora and Moschino. On a Instagram post, Supa Cent said:

"Today I woke up extremely disappointed and to a full inbox of people who knew my work and saw yesterday’s Moschino collection. I understand we are in an industry that carries inspiration from each other and as it is said, imitation is the greatest form of flattery. But it is disheartening to see, after having a meeting with someone from Moschino in New York in November last year. Showing this person absolutely ALL My work and My original sketchbooks and ideas. Seeing the Moschino show yesterday makes me so sad, and I feel so hurt that someone has, the way it looks to me, unquestionably used my https://www.thecrayoncase.com/ SS16 and SS17 collections as inspiration without granting me any credit."

The Crayon Case Cosmetics line provides everything from highlighter, eye shadows, lashes, makeup bags, and so much more which can be purchased at https://www.thecrayoncase.com/. Their colors are so pigmented, especially the highlight! Ms. Steward said, "it will have you shining like a penny." Wearing their makeup when professionally done or even when you do it, it will give you a boost of confidence. The only thing they do not sell are different foundations to make it an almost one stop shop. Ms. Steward's company has grown, and you can see it from the changes in the packaging, and if you were an early consumer, you can even see the changes on her website.

The Crayon Case Cosmetics has provided make up for a lot of creative individuals. On their Instagram page, https://www.instagram.com/thecrayoncase/?hl=en, they highlight their Crayon Cuties which displays the ways their makeup can be used for anything. The Crayon Cuties take advantage of the holidays and change their faces into some of the creepiest characters and into some of the sweetest angels. The Crayon Case Cosmetics’ colors are so vibrant and if you apply it right, I’m sure you could get it to glow in the dark. This black woman owned brand has not failed yet, and as one of the consumers of her brand, we hope it stays around for many years to come.

Support System

It's good to be an encourager for those that you love. I find that it is easier to lend a listening ear, to provide feedback, and to be a shoulder for people to lean on. It makes you more approachable, and when people need to bounce ideas off of you, you will be one of the places that they come to. They tell me when I'm wrong and when a reality check. A support system or friendship as my best friend described it is: Your support system is your spiritual antennas when you feel your signal may be too weak. Your support system gives hugs when it seems like you're all alone. I love the support system that I have in place. Not everyone has those people who keeps it real. It's time out for YES men, and have those men and women who actually tell you NO....

Happy New You!!

It's A New Year & there is no better time to try and get things together... I turned 29 on Dec. 27th and I had an Epiphany! It was a great moment to have. It really brought me back to reality. Time for me to worry about me and help those that I can along the way. I had to watch some bricks fall (as my Bishop said). So cliche to say, But everybody can't go where I'm going. I have plans for my life, plans that I know have been lined up by God. 2011 was a year designed to tare apart some things, but I have a new year on 2012 that is made for restoring Order! I'm making some promises to myself & if I can't keep the promises to myself, then how can I keep them with someone else.

I am going to remain the same caring & giving person. I know when I give from my core & from my heart, God sees it & will honor my Good Works.

I am making it a point to keep those good friends around. I will not fight to hold on to people who I know are pulling away. If people want to leave then, leave.

The people that matter don't mind & the people that mind don't matter.

True Love?

Random thought: Do you think you will ever find "the one"? I used to wish that man was out there, but now I'm not so sure. The one to take you like Beyonce songs says, "Flaws & All"... I'm starting to lose hope. Everytime I think about the men I have came in contact with, it makes me mad & sad.... Like if only they acted right, if only they appreciated the things I did for them, if only they could see the potential I have, if only they were MEN!! smdh

Good Music

I have found a great artist!! I have no idea where she has been. I am a music lover & Avery*Sunshine is the truth!!! I saw her video play on Vh1Soul & was like who is this young woman? I stopped what I was doing and sat down and watched the video for All In My Head!! Amazing Vocalist!! I found her on Twitter & Facebook!! All I can say is World look out!! She has some great music!! Avery*Sunshine is here to stay!!

I'm so sick of record companies picking these no talented artists, that it either takes a while for those with amazing talent to get discovered, or they sign the talented artist & don't know how to market them!! Record Companies, get your stuff together... It's past time for artists like to get their due. So tired of people sleeping on those worthy of the same deals & more.....  Hello to some amazing artist that I love to listen to:  @AverySunshine @common @THEMONIFAH @Tyrese @MS_HUMMINGBIRD @DawnRichard @LeToyaLuckett @4everBrandy @realtamiaworld @niccigilbert @Deborah_Cox @Shaniceonline  @_MAXWELL_  ..... Real Music is still Alive!!

Horrible Workers In Michigan

Fox 2 News & The Problem Solvers busted BLACK MEN who works @ Tower Aerospace & Defense on 8mile & Hoover smoking weed & drinking. They were out in the open smoking & drinking in their cars. The reporter guy even explained on television what a Blunt was & while the guy was making it, he was talking us through it. On their lunch Break they went to the Hoover Market. Sitting on the benches, chilling. Those Black Men are responsible for Military Equipment & Commercial Airplanes... W T F?

Now you would think because Michigan is having its share of problems, that those with a job would want to KEEP THEIR JOBS!! Not the Black Men who work at Tower Aerospace & Defense off of 8 mile Rd & Hoover!! Sad situation....

Sparkle Remake

I first have to go on record by saying that I am a huge fan of the movie Sparkle. Even though I wasn't born when it originally came out in 1976, it holds a special place in my heart forever. I still have my best friend's copy of the movie on VHS :D. But once I got older and I appreciated the world of music and all it had to offer, I fell in love with it. I love movies that incorporate music. Movies with good story lines & great music to go along with it is amazing to me.

I am a huge Whitney Houston fan & I am grateful to God for allowing her the opportunity to come back. She hasn't been on the big screen in over 15 years. The last movie she made was Cinderella with Brandy. She return to the big screen playing the mother for Sparkle & her sisters.

The issue I have about the remake is that fact that there are so many people in this movie. The original movie had its stars or soon to be stars in it. The movie focused on them. Jordin Sparks of course stars as Sparkle. The role was tended for R & B singer, Aaliyah, but the movie was set aside after her untimely death.

I have seen so many celebrities being named and is playing some kind of part in this movie. Detroit's own Kem is in the movie, Goapele, Tika Sumpter, Mike Epps, Tamala Mann, Cee-Lo, Michael Beach, Derek Luke plays Stixx, Omari Hardwick plays Levi, and R. Kelly is doing the soundtrack. The names of celebrities are still being added to the movie. So the list will forever go on.

MY QUESTION IS: WHERE ARE ALL OF THESE CELEBRITIES FITTING INTO THE MOVIE SPARKLE? I know that there is supposed to be some element of surprise to a remake. That not all movies go by the same format as the original. T. D. Jakes is producing the movie. This should be interesting to see how this remake comes out.

Tyler Perry movie including Kim K

From his Emails to Fans:

Hey guys,

I think many of you know that this is a very difficult time of year for me, so what I try to do is make sure that I’m working during this time. All I wanted to do was shoot a great film and try to keep my mind off the holiday grief that I have been experiencing for the past two years. I could not have imagined I’d be getting all these emails about Kim Kardashian. I HAVE SEEN THEM!! YOU HAVE BEEN HEARD!! …LOL. Now, may I say something? Can a brother get a word in?….LOL. Y’all gave me a new movie title, Tyler Perry’s “Diary of a Mad Black Woman Cause You Hired Kim Kardashian, Don’t Make Me Take Off My Earrings and Boycott Yo A**.”…LOL.  Some of my ladies are upset. Ok, all jokes aside, can I have my say? Will you at least here me out?

I was in a Mexican restaurant and the cutest little old woman stopped me and said, “I want to talk to you about KAR-DAT- CHA-NEM.” I said, “Ma’am?” She said, “What is wrong with you putting her in the lead role of your movie?” By the time I explained to her that she was not in the lead role and why I thought she should be in “The Marriage Counselor”, she said, “Oh, I see your point and I can’t wait to see the movie.” So, if you don’t mind, I’d like to share with you what I said to her then maybe you’ll see why I wanted her in the film.

This movie is about a young lady named Judith (Jurnee Smolett), who grew up in the countryside of Virginia in a trailer park. She was raised in the church by her mother Sarah (Ella Joyce). Judith married her childhood sweetheart Brice (Lance Gross) and had the perfect life until she graduated college and went to work in the big city.  After college, all she wanted to do was be a marriage counselor, but the only job she could find was working for a matchmaker named Janice (Vanessa Williams). Janice has several employees that work for her, including a woman named Ava (Kim Kardashian). Ava is constantly trying to influence Judith on everything from her shoes to her hair. Judith meets a man at work named Harley (Robbie Jones). Harley challenges everything in her life from her marriage to her husband to her faith. Meanwhile, Brice (Lance Gross), Judith’s husband works at a pharmacy owned by Mrs. Waco (Renee Taylor). Brice has just hired a coworker named Melinda (Brandy), who has some major demons that she is running from. In the end, the choices that both of these young women have made come crashing down on them and their lives will never be the same.  I wish I could tell you more, but I don’t want to ruin it for you.

After I finished writing this movie, I sat back and re-read it. Half way through my read, the gravity of what I had written hit me. I knew that this message was not only for my age group, but for all audiences, especially the youth.  ESPECIALLY THE YOUTH!!  YOUNG FOLKS NEED TO SEE THIS!!!   And not just the young people that follow me, but the young people that are following other young people, as well.  I wanted a younger cast, that’s why I put Jurnee in the lead and invited Lance Gross, Robbie Jones and Brandy.  About two months ago, long before I even heard about Kim’s marriage or divorce, I was trying to finish up the casting. I said to one of my producers, “who else is out there that young people are looking up to?” One of my producers showed me pictures that his daughter had taken of several hundred kids lined up around the corner to get into a Kardashian store. They wanted to meet Kim. I thought, what better person! She literally has millions of young people following her. I thought and still do think, that it would be very responsible of her to be a part of this film. To have the young people that look up to her, see her in a film that is about, what happens in life when you make the wrong choices. Whether you’re aware of it or not, to be honest with you I wasn’t, millions of young people adore her and are following her every move. If one of those young people see this film and find the strength to live a better life and not go through what these characters went through in this movie, then we have all done what I feel I’m being led to do here. I hope you understand. I really do!

And lastly, because I believe that my films speak from the inside out, why wouldn’t Kim Kardashian be invited into a film about Faith, Forgiveness and the healing power of God?  What is wrong with that??

X Factor vs American Idol

I love X Factor more than American Idol... My 2 favorite judges, Paula Abdul & Simon Cowell are back.. They share the same goal, however, the judges have more tantrums on X Factor which I love. They hurt people feelings a lot quicker, which I hate. The prize that X Factor is giving away is unheard of and crazy a $5 million dollar contract! How many albums do they expect a person to make? How many songs does the person have to record?

Which show do you think is better, X Factor or American Idol?

Check out the contestants on http://www.thexfactorusa.com

Reality TV Shows

I can honestly say that I fell into the hype of Reality TV from shows like Amazing Race, Big Brother, Keeping Up With The Kardashians, The Basketball Wives (Miami), The Basketball Wives (L.A.), Real Housewives of Atlanta & the Housewives franchise... But its time to let some of those shows go. I sat & watch a few episodes of The Basketball Wives (L.A.) today & was disgusted... They could have place some high school girls on that show.

Now don't get me wrong there are a few shows that I watch in support of other characters or celebrities on the show. For instance, I watch Real Housewives of Atlanta because Kandi Burress is on the show. I love her singing & has followed her since the Xscape days. She brings a realness to the show. Unlike some of the new money type of people, she has been in the limelight for a while now and knows how to conduct herself... I won't get into the angry black chicks who are also on the show....

The failure of the Kim Kardashian marriage just goes to show you how they can suck us all in & everything was a fluke!! Now with a petition going on trying to get rid of the Kardashian brand, people have had enough with that whole crew. But I do like Rob Kardashian's dancing on Dancing With the Stars...

I just feel like if you are going to give me "Reality Television" for Pete's sake, let it be REAL!!

Plans for My Life after 30 years old

I can't wait to graduate from College... I'm so close that I can taste it. I have so many ideas floating through my mind. I just hope that the ideas come to pass. I hope the ideas that I have are ideas that will make me money & be able to take care of myself and my mother.... I have an idea & want to shine a positive light on those cities that are not being shown like I think they should. I am starting with my own city. This particular idea, I think I am going to get it started as soon as possible. I want people to be proud of their cities.

Thankfulness

Sometimes is good to Reflect on your life... Never Regret the things that you have been through for it shaped the person you are today. Grateful for the disagreements, thankful for the misunderstandings, thankful for the separations from people and blessed to have been through Hell & High Waters... God kept me & when the smoke cleared, and the fog was lifted I saw those who mattered Still Standing By My Side...

Growing Up...

I remember a time when I couldn't wait to turn 16 yrs old, then turning 18 yrs old was the thing, then 21 solidified me as an adult. Now that I'm 28 yrs old, no kids, but major responsibilities with keeping myself in order, I at times wish I was a kid again... A time when the only thing I had to worry about was waking up for school, doing homework & what day I was getting my $20 allowance. To a kid $20 was a lot of money. Now $20 can barely get you a good meal at a restaurant.

But I had my sights set on getting older so I could do whatever I wanted to do. So I thought. I was most def sheltered as a kid... When I was a teenager, I had a 10pm curfew when hanging out on the weekends with a bestfriend who is 4 yrs older than me. I would get mad like Ma, its the weekend, I should be able to do whatever I want. I was so tempting to rebel against her rules, but I remembered a thing called a switch my granddad would use, and a thin pink sandal my mom would use to whoop me with. But I look back now & realize she was only looking out for me. She'd rather I'd been inside at home safe than running the streets at night and getting caught up in some unnecessary mess. Instead of being a daddy's girl, I am most def a mommy's girl.. I love my mother... She has been the world to me.

Getting My Life Together

As the year 2011 comes to an end, I have noticed so many things about my life that I want to change. The first being my weight. I can no longer talk about how nice it would be to lose some of this weight. Yes I like my shape, but it's not a healthy shape. So I have decided that in 2012, its gonna be a healthy living situation. I may be able to splurge occasionally. I know its gonna be hard to do, because I love pastas, cheese & pizzas. Like if I was stranded on an island, I would want pizza, pasta & Boston baked beans....

But I know in order for me to stick around a lot longer, I have to make some changes to my life... I will no longer settle for the okie doke from people. If people want to be in my life, they will have to prove that they have staying power. I know I give from my heart & will always do so, but I can't give my time, energy or friendship to people that won't do the same....

Welcome

Welcome to New Hill Events & Productions... Attempting to try this out for class.....
